Win = four points, draw = two each, loss = zero. Ranked by points, then percentage (points for divided by points against).

From 2026 the top six go straight into finals. 7th to 10th play a wildcard weekend: 7th hosts 10th, 8th hosts 9th. The two winners join the top six in week one of the eight-team finals. Opening Round counts; finals do not. Home and Away only count those games. Research tools — not betting advice.

How is the AFL ladder calculated?

A win is four points, a draw is two each, and a loss is zero. Percentage is points scored divided by points conceded, times 100. Teams are ranked by points, then percentage, then points scored.

Does Opening Round count?

Yes. Opening Round is part of the home-and-away season and counts toward the premiership ladder.

Do finals count on this ladder?

No. Finals do not add premiership points. This table is the home-and-away ladder only.

What are Top 6 and WC?

From 2026 the top six qualify for finals. 7th to 10th play wildcard finals. The lines on the table mark those cuts.

What do Overall, Home and Away mean?

Overall is the full premiership table. Home and Away show only games at that team’s home ground or on the road — useful when you are looking at a specific fixture.
