Suspension Avoided
Despite the tripping charge, Hough has escaped suspension, which would have resulted in him missing the Eagles' next match against the Brisbane Lions. This is due to the fact that the incident was not deemed serious enough to warrant a ban.

The latest incident marks Hough's second tripping offense, which has contributed to the higher fine imposed. Players who receive multiple suspensions or fines for the same offense are subject to increased penalties.
