During Sydney's triumph over Geelong in Round 13, Heeney secured nine votes, pushing his overall tally to 80. This places him 13 votes ahead of his nearest rival, Nick Daicos.

Daicos' Streak Snapped

Nick Daicos' remarkable streak came to an end in Collingwood's King's Birthday win over Melbourne. Despite a valiant effort, Daicos failed to earn any votes. Prior to Round 13, Daicos had garnered 47 of a possible 50 votes, tying the record for the most votes collected in a five-game span.
